The museum is arranged within the former palace of the Eristavis of Ksani. The palace- an ensemble of early XVII was refurbished and reconstructed in the XIX c applying the Empire style.

Several findings dated back by the Pre and Early Antique Periods, revealed by Ksani Gorge Archaeological Expedition are exhibited in the museum, particularly weaponry, necklaces, insignia standards and numismatics, coupled with glazed pottery of XVIII-XIX cc and things used in daily life manufactured in XVIII-XIX cc.

Ksani Gorge abounds with the outstanding monuments of cultural heritage that includes the exceptional Largvisi Monastery Ensemble.
